Robin Ben

A little handmade robin with a very special meaning.

Robin Ben has been designed, cut and hand-stitched by me, Shell, a textile artist and the maker behind Miss Shelly Designs. Made from beautiful wool felt, each robin is individually created by hand, so every one is just a little bit unique.

Why is he called Robin Ben?

The name actually came from my youngest son, Ben.

When he was little, someone said “It’s a robin, Ben” and he misheard it and thought the bird was actually called a Robin Ben. 😂

Of course, the name stuck in our family — so when I finally designed my own little felt robin, there was really only one thing I could call him.

Robins have always felt particularly special to our family, as they remind us of my Nan.

“When robins are near, loved ones are near.”

I love the idea of Robin Ben hanging on the Christmas tree and bringing back memories of someone special year after year.
