The Future is Festive!

The Future is Festive!

First things first – I’d like to say thanks again for the amazingly supportive responses I’ve had since posting my last blog about my experience at the Handmade Fair. You were all so encouraging that it gave me the mental boost I needed, and now I’m looking to the future.

With that in mind, let me show you the Miss Shelly Designs 2018 Christmas range in full. I’ve given you some sneak peeks over the past few weeks but now it’s time to put my festive designs in the spotlight, and I couldn’t be more excited!

Miss Shelly Designs 2018 Christmas Range

This year I’ve added to my collection of Christmas tree toppers and in addition have given my gingerbread angels a bit of a makeover. They now have a silver or gold sparkly crown instead of hair bows and also come with the most amazing sparkly wings! They look awesome - even if I do say so myself! – and I think they deserve the top spot on anyone’s tree.

Newbies to the range this year are a koala and a sloth tree topper. You had a little preview of the sloth design in my last blog where I shared a picture of Kirstie Allsopp holding one of my sloth toppers, and I’m pleased to say that the koala toppers also got a brilliant reception when I debuted them at the Handmade Fair.

While I designed eight new decorations last year, for 2018 I’ve made just four. This is because 12 months back I just couldn’t keep up with demand, but it’s meant I’ve really had time to focus on and perfect my new Christmas pieces this time around. So let me introduce you to the new kids in town!

First up is the adorable Mr Monkey who comes with a hand-knitted curly tail and a rather fetching sparkly red bow tie.

Secondly there is my new llama with his hilarious side swept fringe. He comes with a handmade pompom tail and would look fab on anyone’s tree this year.

Thirdly there is a new ‘fat cat’ Christmas decoration but this time he’s brown with a sparkly gold crown. I decided to add another colour as so many people wanted the choice last year.

And last but by no means least is Mr Penguin. OF COURSE I had to make a penguin after my previous blog where I told you all about my son Ben’s obsession with the lovable black and white birds. It’s taken me far too long to make one but that’s mainly because black felt is so hard to see to cut out! But now he’s here and is also available in a couple, (Mr & Mrs, Mr & Mr or Mrs & Mrs) making them an excellent gift for newlyweds.

All of my decorations are personalised with a handmade tag which is printed with a name or a small message. Lots of people choose to add ‘First Christmas 2018’ and give them as gifts for a new baby.

So as you see there’s a wealth of choice in the collection. Plus I’m continuing to sell my other decorations as well so fear not you can still purchase my classic gingerbread man or that ‘traditional’ dinosaur tree decoration of mine!

As you have all been such a fabulous bunch I am offering you a 20% discount off everything on my website, but for one week only. To take advantage of this great festive offer all you have to do is use the code Christmas2018 when you check out and as always I offer free delivery. The discount deal ends midnight next Friday (October 12) so quick, get shopping!
