Is it too early for Christmas?

Hands up – who has already started their Christmas shopping? Now I know there’s loads of you who will be cursing the fact that the supermarkets have had a ‘festive aisle’ since August, but I have to admit I’m always one to start early because work-wise things tend to get very manic in the run-up to the big day.

Seems like I’m not the only one this year though as I know some of my friends and family have started ticking items off their festive to-do lists as well. Plus judging by the amount of Christmas orders I’ve had recently I know lots of you have started too!

Believe it or not there’s now only 10 weeks to go until Christmas, so it’s important for me to get my products out there despite the fact that it’s not even Halloween yet. It’s a fine line when it comes to festive preparation. I don’t want people to be put off by me early start but equally I don’t want to miss the opportunity to launch my products and target those all-important early shoppers like myself.

Shops galore have also already released their Christmas gift guides to tempt us – speaking of which, have you seen the notonthehighstreet guide yet? It is looking gorgeous and I’m very happy to say I am part of their campaign this year with my personalised Mummy Hoops. They’re a great gift for any woman in your life and I’ve just listed them on my website too so be sure to check them out.

And in order to satisfy any early birds shoppers who may be struggling with gift ideas I thought I’d make a little Miss Shelly gift guide…

*Buying for a new baby who was born this year? Then any one of my handmade Christmas decorations would make the perfect gift. They come personalised with a name and you can even add ‘First Christmas 2018’ as well. They’ll be cherished for years to come! I also better make a note to send one to Harry and Meghan next year!

*Struggling with Secret Santa? It’s always tricky to pick out a gift for someone you have no idea what to buy for, but I think if you make it funny you can’t go wrong. My personalised ‘Elf Self’ decorations are perfect for this. Can you imagine opening the box and seeing yourself dressed as an elf? I dare you not to laugh!

*Do you know any newly-wed couples? Then my personalised penguin decorations with their ‘Mr and Mrs - First Christmas 2018’ tags would make a lovely gift. And they’re also available as Mr & Mr and Mrs & Mrs too!

*Pondering over unique gift ideas from the children to Mum, Dad, Grandma or Granddad? Then my personalised hoop art would make a very special gift.

*Hunting for a special gift for a child? My animal hoop pictures would look adorable in any child’s bedroom, and you can choose from a penguin, bear, koala or sloth.

*Know someone crafty? Then my ‘Make your own’ sewing gifts would be gratefully received.

So there we have it, just a few thoughts to keep you going. Happy shopping and I’m looking forward to receiving your festive orders soon!
